i decided to update my blog because everyone else is doing so. after school today, qy,ws,lm and i went to j8 for lunch at pastamania. me and ws only spent like a dollar for a twenty dollar meal thanks to serene's card which allows us to redeem free pasta and dessert. delicious. after lunch, we went to take neoprints with this really cool machine at the neoprint shop. there is wind coming out of the machine, then you can act cool with it, so model type. also, there is a platform which can be raised by a machine. this means that now taller people will stand below the platform which the shorter ones are being elevated up. damnn cool, and nice pics taken.
after that, qy and ws came my house to visit my doggie. my bean bag chair was so comfortable that qy have fall asleep on it. nice bonding session. ser! where are yoU!!

It'll be stage for school's play - part of its arts fest

ALL the world's a stage, they say.
This definitely applies to Ang Mo Kio Secondary School.
The entire school has become the staging ground for its biannual arts fest, which is titled Nomad - Travelling.
The public can buy tickets to attend and the money raised will go to the school fund and needy students.
An area in the canteen will be flooded for a 20-minute play called Tsunami.
Student Catherine Seah, 14, will be half-submerged in muddy water wearing home clothes with about 15 others while a mournful tune is played live on a euphonium, a brass instrument.
'The play shows what happened before and after the tsunami. I don't mind getting dirty for this,' she said.
HONOURED
An entire corridor - about 5m long - became a huge manga strip, drawn by Secondary 5 student Eddie Cai, 17, and painted by the school's art club.
'I started drawing manga last year and this is the first time my work is being shown like this. I feel happy and honoured,' said Eddie, whose father is a designer.
About 300 students will be performing in the arts fest which starts tomorrow at 7pm. Others will be involved backstage, in ushering and serving food.
Many are first-time performers.
In the past, the school's creative arts programmes in dance for Secondary 1 and drama for Secondary 2 students ended with formal assessments, said music teacher Ng Tian Hui.
'But with this arts fest that's open to the public, they get a real-world experience at the end of six months. Students who were keen and had interesting ideas were chosen to perform.
'They wrote their own scripts with the help of 12 professional artistes including Mr Gani Abdul Karim, who helped choreograph the IOC opening ceremony,' said Mr Ng, who directed the arts festival.
The Secondary 3 students worked on publicity material like posters, press releases and tickets for the arts fest through their English classes, said Mrs Komathi Anand, the head of the department of English.
The graduating classes will set up themed cafes where people can eat, drink and enjoy the performances around them.
This is the first time the arts fest has involved so many students and locations within the school.
Previously, performances were by the relevant ECA groups and held only in designated spaces.
Principal Tan Chee Siong, who took over the school last December, gave his full support to the arts fest.
'For art to be experiential, I know the school has to be transformed. I have a wonderful team working for the students, so I gave them free rein.
'We have created a buzz through Nomad to help students have beautiful memories of growing up in this school.'
